Brandon M. Druek, Esq.
Managing Partner
Brandon Druek brings nearly two decades of legal expertise, with a majority of the past ten years devoted exclusively to matrimonial and family law. An alumnus of New York University (B.A.) and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D., concentration in Intellectual Property), he is admitted to practice in New York and Pennsylvania. His practice is founded on honesty, integrity, and transparent communication—ensuring clients receive clear, actionable guidance grounded in the actual facts of their case. From the very first consultation, Brandon’s mission is to clarify the legal process and help clients set realistic objectives.
Clients benefit from his dual focus on education and empowerment. He’s known for translating complex statutes into straightforward advice, so clients always know where they stand and what to expect next.
Brandon’s practice focuses on high-asset divorces, with particular attention to equitable distribution and retirement-account division. He works hand-in-hand with QDRO specialists and plan administrators to shape settlement agreements around each party’s financial goals. His strategic, fact-driven approach helps protect assets and supports fair distribution.
An active member of the Family Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association, Brandon applies strategic insight and unwavering integrity to every matter. Evans M. Hillen, Esq.
Founding Partner
Mr. Hillen holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Seton Hall University and a J.D./M.B.A. from St. Thomas University. He began his professional career in finance and banking before turning to the law, serving as Director of the Northeast New Jersey Legal Services Income Tax Clinic, where he represented taxpayers in federal litigation in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
In 2010 Mr. Hillen co‑founded Vlahadamis & Hillen, LLP, where he managed the matrimonial and federal income tax departments. He later narrowed his practice to focus exclusively on matrimonial and family court matters, bringing a rare combination of financial expertise and courtroom experience to complex divorce and family law disputes. In 2025 Mr. Hillen co‑founded Hillen Druek, PLLC, where he continues to represent clients in high‑stakes, high‑asset matters.
Mr. Hillen is known for building strong, lasting client relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness, and respect. He explains complex legal and financial issues in clear, accessible terms so clients understand their options, risks, and likely outcomes. He listens carefully, tailors strategy to each client’s goals, and keeps clients informed at every stage to ensure decisions are deliberate and aligned with long‑term interests.

Catherine C. DeSanto, Esq.
Of Counsel
Catherine DeSanto, Esq. brings nearly three decades of legal experience to Hillen Druek, PLLC. A magna cum laude graduate of Dowling College, she earned her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School in 1996, where she was awarded the Friedman Prize for academic excellence in Family Law.
Her practice is devoted to matrimonial and family law, including prenuptial agreements, divorce and separation, paternity, custody, visitation, child support, neglect and abuse (CPS) proceedings, orders of protection, adoption, and juvenile delinquency matters.
Ms. DeSanto is dedicated to achieving practical, amicable resolutions whenever a negotiated settlement best serves her clients’ interests, working collaboratively with opposing counsel, government agencies, and the courts. When litigation is necessary, she draws on her experience as a Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, a member of the Assigned Counsel Defender Plan, and an Attorney for Children (formerly “Law Guardian”). Her decades of courtroom experience in Suffolk County, the professional relationships she has built, and the respect she has earned from colleagues and jurists make her a skilled and confident trial advocate.
She is admitted to practice before all New York State courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Defenders Association.
